Accomplishments in 2016

In 2016, development and implementation works were generally focused on the development of medium voltage switchgear which is the most important group of products manufactured in the Production Division.

Works on the SF6-insluated switchgear type OPTIMA-24 are still in progress. Last year the first big switchgear of this type was provided to equip a 110/15kV station.

Designing works were continued on the construction of other variants of the switchgear, full type tests were performed and certification of the circuit-breaker was completed.

A modernized variant of D-17-2S switchgear with double busbar system was developed and tested. The switchgear is provided with modern disconnecting switches, disconnecting drives, circuit breakers, earthing switches and bushings.

A substantially reinforced version of D-40P switchgear was developed and tested; the switchgear is generally intended to be sold in foreign markets. The switchgear is provided with another type of circuit-breaker.

New variants of PREM-G1dM, D-12P and D-17P switchgear, provided with new type contactors, circuit-breakers and earthing switches were developed and implemented.

To be able to supply for projects relating to the upcoming modernization of power supply systems of the railway traction, ELEKTROBUDOWA SA is procuring the scope of supply for traction substations and has implemented rectifier assemblies for production. In 2016, another variant of RT-3 switchgear provided with IR 6040 circuit breaker was tested.

Prototypes of low voltage switchgear type NGWR were constructed and the complementary type tests performed in conformance with the currently applicable standard PN-EN 61439.

Works were continued on the development of a series of types of OPTIMA-145 switchgear panels, including modules having the width of 800mm. Gas insulated busduct GIL and modules of an isolating switch called MID were tested and implemented for production.

Plans for the first half of 2017

Plans for the six months to come include continuation of complementary testing of type NGWR and D-17P switchgear, medium voltage disconnecting switches and earthing switches. Also, development works concerning complementing the series of types of OPTIMA-145 and its equipment will be continued.

Relevant conceptual works and construction of models of new low voltage and medium voltage draw-out switchgear for the voltage level of 17.5kV will be carried on.
