Business activity of ELEKTROBUDOWA Group had been basically concentrated on its traditional markets. Soliciting in new markets resulted in making new contacts in foreign markets (Algeria, Spain, Kuwait).

Traditionally, power generating sector was the biggest source of income of the Group in the 12 months ended 31 December 2016 (54.0% in the sales breakdown by industries) where the Group was present with its products and comprehensive range of electric installation works in newly erected, extended or modernized power stations. Sales revenue from this industry decreased by 312.0 million PLN, while its percentage share in total sales by 13.3 percentage point. The biggest project executed by the Group for this sector was the contract for the construction of a new heat generation unit with fluidized bed boiler, heating and condensing turbine and associated plants in TAURON Ciepło Sp. z o.o. Zakład Wytwarzania Tychy for TAURON Ciepło Sp. z o.o.

In the 12 months ended 31 December 2016 the sales associated with this project amounted to 122.9 million PLN and had the 12.7% share in the sales revenues.
Chemical industry was the second most profitable item in sales by industry (11.1%) in the reporting period. Compared with the same period of 2015, the sales to this segment increased 3.2 million PLN and their share in the revenue by 2.7 percentage point. The biggest revenue generated in this sector concerned the turnkey works for the project “Distillery waste lime filtration plant” for CIECH Soda Polska S.A. (sales amounting to 35.5 million PLN and 3.7% share in total revenue).
In the 12 months ended 31 December 2016, mining was another important segment in the sales by industries; it had 7.5% share in total sales revenue. Compared with the same period of 2015, sales to this branch of industry rose 9.1 million PLN and its share increased by 2.3 percentage point. The biggest contract in this branch concerned modernization of the 6kV switchgear GSE in Głogów Copper Smelter including connections to the power system for KGHM Polska Miedź S.A. (sales: 14.7 million PLN, share in total sales revenues: 1.5%).

The above presented business sectors have been on the top of the structure of the Group’s sales by industries for years.

Other market segments, responsible for 8.2% share in the revenue from sales of products, goods and materials, and exports of products and materials (19.2%) allowed the Group to considerably increase its sales outside the above named basic industries.
