Export

Export sales in 2016, which included inter-community supplies and the supplies to the countries outside the European Union, generated the revenue of 186.5 million PLN, which accounted for 19.2% of total revenue from the sale of products, goods and materials. In 2015 the export sales generated by the Group amounted to 113.1 million PLN and constituted 9.1% of total sales revenue.

In 2016, Finland’s market was still the most important for exports carried out by the Group (151.1 million PLN responsible for 81.0% of total exports). Compared with 2015, the sales in this market rose 72.6 million PLN and their share in exports increased by 11.6 percentage point. The revenues from sales to Finland were generated mainly on the contract for electrical and I&C systems for the Nuclear Power Plant OLKILUOTO 3. The value of works performed at this site and invoiced in 2016 amounted to 150.2 million PLN, corresponding to 80.5% of total export sales revenues.

The following markets were also significant for export sales in 2016:

  • Russia, where the sales earned 14.2 million PLN of revenue and accounted for 7.6% of total export sales revenue generated by the Group. Exports to the Russian market were basically realized through the associate, the Power Equipment Production Plant VECTOR Ltd. (11.0 million PLN of sales and 5.9% share in the structure of exports).
  • Switzerland, where the sales earned 7.4 million PLN of revenue and accounted for 4.0% of the Group’s total export sales. The sales generally included construction services.
  • Algeria, where the sales earned 4.8 million PLN of revenue, accounting for 2.6% of total Group’s exports. The export concerned the isolated-phase busduct ELPE.
  • Saudi Arabia, where the export sales amounted to 4.0 million PLN and accounted for 2.1% of total exports. The sales included mainly switchgear cubicles.
  • Kuwait, where the sales earned 1.7 million PLN of revenue, accounting for 0.9% of the Group’s total exports. The sales concerned the isolated-phase busduct ELPE.
